| My latest work explores color and ideas about color. Sometimes the inspiration comes from the color itself. More often inspiration comes from memories and everyday experiences such as rain in the summer, sitting by the pool, the summer sky at twilight.
These paintings also explore ideas about reflection whether through the shiny surface on the paintings or the materials contained with in. Metallic paint, translucent layers of paint, pieces of foil and paper all work together to create an illusion of depth. The shiny surface allows shapes glow and shimmer, freezing a moment in time. |
