Using methods that marry my passion for modern, industrial architecture and construction, I create my abstract work by layering deep-cradled panels with limestone clay, tea and paint stains, and impressions embedded from materials scavenged from local scrap yards. I then sand, carve, cut and scrape to reveal the archeology of the painting and layer oil pastel, text, symbols and cold wax to create depth and composition, juxtaposing the visual and verbal as an expression of the intersection of art and humanity.
